Good Times in Malaysia
It’s been a few months since I visited Malaysia. It is a beautiful country with people from many languages and cultures, all living peacefully.
The public transport system is very good. Even as a foreigner, I could use it without any problem. The Grab app also works great, it’s fast, you book and within minutes a car arrives at your location.
Traffic sometimes moves slowly, but no one honks. Even in small islands with very few people, traffic rules are followed.
Our cab driver was surprised when we asked about electric cars. Since Malaysia produces oil and fuel is cheap, EVs are not common yet.
The environment is mostly clean. Sometimes you see some trash, but it is very little. I feel lucky I visited before it becomes too touristy, no one tried to sell me anything forcefully.
The bus terminal at KL Sentral felt a bit scary at first, but it was okay. The Komuter train was efficient and well maintained.
Langkawi was beautiful beyond words. And everywhere I went, I saw Petronas stations and palm trees.
